![]() | For your holidays we have chosen good quality hotels or guest-houses, usually the equivalent of 2** (along the Spanish section these small family-run hotels are often called 'hostals' but do not resemble hostels as understood in English). In big towns we use hotels and guest-houses located in or close to their historic centres. In Spain you may also, at additional cost, reserve nights in Paradores. However, in some sections of the route there is little choice of accommodation. Furthermore, when we are unable to secure reservations in hotels of a high enough standard, we prefer to organise taxi transfers to the preceding or following overnight stop. In general, you are booked in hotels on a half-board basis (breakfast and dinner). Dinner is usually taken in the hotel or in a nearby restaurant. However, in Pamplona, Logroño, Burgos and Santiago, your accommodation is booked on a bed & breakfast-only basis, as there is a wide choice of restaurants in these larger towns. You are advised to ask at reception for recommendations. |
